# A coupon can change your delivery fee

Compare the final total when a discount moves an order below a shipping threshold.

Some stores calculate delivery eligibility after discounts. A lower merchandise total can therefore add a delivery fee.

## Calculate both baskets

For an illustrative basket of 310 with a 20 discount, the merchandise total becomes 290. If a hypothetical store charges 19 below a 299 threshold, the final total is 309: the effective saving is only 1. This is arithmetic, not a live coupon test.

## Membership can change the rule

Nike UAE’s delivery page distinguishes signed-in members from non-members and describes its non-member threshold after discounts. Use the current source and your checkout; do not apply the UAE rule to another Nike country site.

## Do not add unwanted items just for shipping

If an extra item costs more than the delivery fee it avoids, the larger basket is not cheaper. Compare only items you actually want and include the final fees.
